Nana de Memoirs~

Ha! Blog’s dead again! No updates recently because of continuously sickness and laziness of course. Everything starts to becoming normal again, for example school and work. No more stressed like in the beginning of school. And also, I dropped one of the courses just because I don’t think I can handle it since it’s harder than I thought and it’s third course! So, I am free and my schedule looks nice and sweet~

Jae is back in Peterborough for Thanksgiving so I am happy to see him even though it’s only for 2 days. We spend great times together and sometimes I think it’s a good thing that we don’t see each other so often…But not seeing someone for a long time is not something enjoyful! Ugh, such a contradiction.

Anyways, that’s all for now. And my cat hates me alot because I always try to annoy and scold her! Not my fault though, it’s because she scratched for no reason! Ok, maybe because I whistle and sing alot and she totally hates it!

Not only I work there often, but spend there often too. Yea, again, I am back to Matsu for some kind of birthday celebration. What a routine for me to go there…I really wish there are more places to dine out in Peterborough. Nevertheless, I got so many free food from my owner though. So, it’s a trade off thingy. And luckily, Lansdowne Place, a shopping mall in Peterborough, is having an expansion. I hope to will bring in more shops and choices for the poor consumers here.

The girl in the middle is the birthday girl. And she looks extremely like my 3rd sister!  Not only looks, but attitude as well!

Something extra. Siew cooked us Curry Laksa this morning and it taste like heaven! I am not lying but I almost teared after tasting it!

She tried her best looking for the ingredients. Instead of real meat, we got hot dog instead..lol.

 

It’s been a year since I last blog about Hari Raya! Time flies is all I can say. And today will be officially the last day of summer…T.T

So, this year, instead of paying for my own Raya food, I got invited to this open house held by Malays. The numbers of Malays in Trent increased dramatically because most of the juniors from Malaysia are Malays. There are 7 of them in total! Whoah~ They are here just in time since I need good food so much!

There was a girl from Bosnia who kept making compliments about the food! And I think she had 4 rounds in total! OMG~But undeniable, it’s super delicious.

So much! They brought those from home.

It’s so crazy that how everyone’s birthday falls on August! Let me list it out: Rachael, Fion, Jury, Dan and etc… Ok, I don’t know many but I know it from the facebook thingy. So, because of so many babies were born on the month of August which included my sister baby daughter, I celebrated 2 persons birthday on the same day who are Jury and Dan. 

We had a simple house party where only close friends were invited. No loud music no drugs but we do have beers, pop, pizzas, chips, and a cake of course!

I never thought I can have steamboat using a rice cooker only until today! Siew Lung came up with this idea that we can use a rice cooker instead of the real cooking pot or whatever you called it. At first, I was like: Is this going to works?? In the end, it turned out to be workable! So, whoever needs to have steamboat without buying the cooking pot can try this out! 

We have lettuce, broccoli, fish balls, fish cakes, sausages, squids, prawns, meatballs, tofu and etc.

HAHA…They are preparing for the ingredients! Btw, yea, this is where I am living now. Looks crappy and messy~

See! I told you…I am not lying~ It tasted superb and it’s tom yam style! 

 

It’s always so enjoyable to have steamboat at home or outside. I used to had it alot when I was studying in Taylors since my KL friends are addicted with it. 

 

Went to Canada Day’s parade, basically celebrating the national day thingy. Maybe it’s a so-so city, so the parade isn’t that interesting. Compare with the "游神" in Kuching, they have so much to improve!! I had taken some photos so…enjoy~

 First time seeing Amy, my ex-housemate, in Toronto! We blabbered so much as soon as we met each other in the mall. She still the same old funny her even after not seeing her for almost a year. So, there is no disappointment at all instead we valued the time we spent together so much!

Even though I have not much interesting stuff to blog about, but a lot of things did happened lately.

1. My brother just got the offer letter from JPA few days ago and the letter says he is going to study in the States for 3 years. But before that, he has to do American Degree Transfer Program for 2 years in Taylor’s University College. Yea, the same one with me only different program. He is so lucky for getting the chance to study in Taylor’s as it’s one of the top schools in Malaysia and everyone is craving just to go there! And it’s a good thing that he is not coming to Canada because I get to to the States and shop there using my borther’s allowance…muahhahaha~

2. Mr. McNamara had passed away 2 days ago and OMG it’s a real shock to me! It’s only been few months since our last gathering at his house in Bolton and now he is no longer with us. Therefore, appreciate people around you before it’s too late. I will try my best to spend time with my Mama and Papa as soon as I graduated from university.

Rest in peace, Mc Mc….

3. After failing to get a job last time, I finally hired by another sushi restaurant in town. The basis pay not as high compare with the last one but after adding up the tips from the customers, it’s quite an amount for a waitress position. However, I have to get through one month of training before I get to collect tips from customers! That’s a total rip off! And it’s certainly unfair! Gosh…

OMG….I am so bored!!!!!!!

I don’t know what else to do other than repeating my routines!!! Help me…

I think most of the people are back to Malaysia and now having a great time their friends and family already..sob sob

By the way, my little brother’s application for JPA scholarship is officially accepted! Who would expected 2 of our family members will be  benefited from this scholarship?! Yay~I am so proud of my family! Wow… 2 family members studying overseas without spending our parents money! This is what I called studying, instead of sponsored by the parents, which I called spending.

I was sooo worried for him and kept dreaming about the probable result the whole night and now all the worries are gone after he told me he succeded this morning!

Ah Boy, you did it!! And I know this mean so much to you since you are a high achiever(for me, I dont really care lol). So, from now on people will 对我们刮目相看了。。。especially those stupid relatives. Wooohohoho

Since my birthday falls on the same day with my final exam, so I celebrated it before the actual date. This is what we called "Kiasuism"! LOL

But heh, due to the reason that we used to be poor, my family don’t have the tradition of celebrating birthdays. Not to forget that I have 8 siblings somemore! Even though we are getting "richer", still it’s not an important event to waste money for. So, birthday celebration can always been something special to me.  

I know some of you might feel sick if you are eating the same food in repetition. But, I still like sushi and bibimbap a lot even though I had it for few times in row within only one month. So yea, I went for sushi AGAIN!!!aahahha
